Firebird events and conferences all over the world
The English version of the report of the 13th Firebird Developers Day is now available, with several pictures. Thanks for all the sponsors, supporters, attendees, speakers and of course, all who contributed allowing us to collect ~USD 1k for the Firebird Foundation.

Conference to be held at the Barcelo Praha Hotel, Prague, Czech Republic, on the 7th and 8th of October 2016.
The Firebird Foundation is seeking submissions from Firebird users and developers on the theme of “Firebird in the Enterprise”. A session submission should have a title and at least 200 words outlining the main points of your talk.
A session will last for 50 minutes plus 10 minutes for turnaround and questions. If your talk takes more than a single session, then it should span multiple sessions. If your session is especially popular you may be asked to repeat it.

Submissions must be made by the deadline of Midnight July 1st, 2016. Once received there will be a review of the submitted papers and authors will then be informed which papers have been accepted or rejected.
Today is the last day to register for the 13th Firebird Developers Day, to be held in Brazil, 9-July.

As inscrições para a 13a. edição do Firebird Developers Day já podem ser feitas pelo site oficial do evento.
O FDD é a maior conferência sobre Firebird no mundo, e será realizada no dia 09/Julho, em Piracicaba – SP. Com o recente lançamento do Firebird 3, teremos diversas palestras sobre novas funcionalidades dessa versão, mas também abordaremos temas de interesse aplicáveis à qualquer versão.
Firebird Project and IBSurgeon invite Firebird administrators and developers to «Firebird Big Databases» seminar (in Russian). Seminar will take place in Moscow, Russia, October 21, 2015.
Main speakers at seminar are Dmitry Yemanov, lead FirebirdSQL developer, Dmitry Kuzmenko, IBSurgeon and Alexey Kovyazin, IBSurgeon.
The seminar will cover topics of Firebird performance optimization and maintenance of big Firebird databases (>500Gb).
Seminars in Europe are planned, but not yet announced, please stay tuned.

During the registration process for the 12th edition of the Firebird Developers Day, people could donate money to the Firebird Foundation. In total, it was collected R$ 4.590,27 (~ USD 1.3k). The list of donors is available here.

Last saturday we had the 12th edition of the Firebird Developers Day conference in Brazil! During all the day, hundreds of people had the chance to improve their knowledge about Firebird, and buy software with special discounts.
