Populating a DataGridView From a Database Query
Over the years I have made sporadic attempts the wrap my head around programming using the .Net class library. I have used Delphi for over 10 years so maybe I am biased, but it seems as though many of the things that can be done with a couple of mouse clicks in Delphi require a lot more work to accomplish using .Net.
Why I find MySQL to be so bad compared to Firebird
MySQL is the most used Open Source database engine. I have personally used it for almost 10 years. I worked with versions 3.x, 4.x and 5.x of MySQL, but I also used other database engines, some of them handling the same “data-set size” as MySQL, while others have been smaller databases (mostly Desktop based databases such as SQLite, MS-Access and Paradox).
This is the first part of my complaint about MySQL and why I dislike it.

IBO Status update from Jason

I am glad to report I am now able to make IBO development my full time effort so the progress with IBO should start moving at a very accellerated pace. I’ve been through a total living hell for the past year but I am absolutely determined to get things back in order and its looking like I am finally there. I will very soon have a BETA version of D2009 to test. The changes made are very wide sweeping. This has been a tremendous amount of work and it is going to take a while yet before it is finished. Almost every aspect of IBO has been hit by these changes. But, it will be good to finally make this transition into Unicode. I’m not complaining.
