FirebirdClient v2.1.0 RC2 released
FirebirdClient v2.1.0 Release Candidate 2, ADO.NET Data Provider for
Microsoft .NET 2.0, and mono is available for download.

Firebird Multiple Vulnerabilities – Impact less critical
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Firebird, where some have unknown impact and others can be exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service)

I have been a big fan of the Firebird database for a while now. It is a fast, reliable and maintenance free database which suits my needs. While it is very good at a couple of things, one of the features that I like is the fact that the entire database is stored in one file. In principle this is not important, but it is pretty clean and can be very useful.
