Happy to notify you that I’ve finished with solaris port of 2.5 on x86. I.e.
currently out code base works not only with windows and posix threading, but
also with native solaris. Both dev and release builds pass tcs OK except few
minor issues with double precision arithmetics, when digits like
12.3456789123456 differ in the last column. I suppose this is related with
VirtualBox VM problems (in all other aspects it runs Solaris wonderful).
freebsd 7.0 is released and firebird 2.0.3 port is included
i’m impressed by the firebird ports collection (fpc, php 5.2.5,qt4, ruby , perl , python ,php4)
I was very surprised realizing that my Win 32 Lazarus+Firebird embedded application can be installed and running on PCBSD (www.pcbsd.org) OS under Wine. Although I couldn’t install Win32 Firebird server, it seems that embedded server (consists of .dll files) works OK! One more option for multiplatform pograming…

I have just released a classic version of Firebird V2.03 for HPUX 11. This is a 64bit version for PA-RISC 2.0. The current install mechanism as per Firebird 1.5.x uses a tar file and scripts to install firebird into /opt/firebird etc. I think the time has now come to try and write a depot file so that we can use the HPUX installer to install firebird.
