Changes:This release includes a number of bugfixes, mainly for single controller or single database configurations. A new script-based backuper is also available to customize the backup/restore mechanism at will. The group communication and demos have been upgraded.
dbdesc maintenance release (2.0.1)
from dbdesc blog: Even though you can connect with a Firebird 2.0 server to document a database, using the local (embedded) connection does not work because it needs the new fbembed.dll version. I’ve uploaded a maintenance release (2.0.1) to address this issue. Installer size has grown a little (~1 MB) because of the updated Firebird libraries.
InstantBDExpress 1.5: conversion of BDE applications to dbExpress

The new version 1.5 of InstantBDExpress (IBDX) is now available. IBDX is a component library designed to ease the conversion of existing BDE applications over to the dbExpress technology.
This is the first publicly available release of IBDX, which has been used in-house to support conversion projects for our customers in the
last two years.
IBDX is available for Delphi 7 and Delphi 2006; as per our hassle-free policy, the trial version doesn’t have any limitations or expiration;
it only lacks the sources.

ibpp changes towards version 3.0
Work is in progress toward a ibpp 3.0 codebase which will officially be tweaked for and supporting Firebird 2.0, while bringing new extensions too. You may peek at some very preliminary (and very subject to significant changes) information about the version 3.0.
