Some clarification about charset settings for the various DBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Firebird/Interbase, Oracle, Sqlite) and a call for help for charset setting support in PEAR::MDB2.

And there is another popular ORM for python – SQLAlchemy which supports firebird also.
The appliance is quite small a few Megs , i will ask how they
managed to do it soo small 🙂

Grails GORM is based on the Hibernate object/relational mapping framework. Therefore
