Two Firebird days in Germany – Erlanger Firebird Tag

to  shorten the time to the next firebird conference there will be a
small     firebird     day     in    Germany,  Erlangen  at the RRZE
(www.rrze.de)   (local     computing    center   of  the  university
Erlangen-Nürnberg) from 8th to 9th May 2009.

We’ll start at Friday morning and end at Saturday evening.
There might be a pre day presentation for sponsors on 7 May.

The main track will be in German but it’s also possible to have some
English  talks as  the  once  of  Dimitry and Vlad for example and
international after track meetings.

Interviews in the 5th FDD

A new set of  interviews done by HardSoft TV during the 5th Firebird Developers Day in Brazil is now online. You need to use Internet Explorer to watch the videos. Unfortunately, there is no way to “fast forward” it, so you need to watch the video until the “interesting” part arrives (usually after the introduction, at 40% of the timeline) 😉

PS: Audio is in portuguese. Images are nice!

5th FDD interviews for TV

Hardsoft TV was covering the last Firebird Developers Day in Brazil, and now interviews started to be put online in their site. You can check the first one here (it is in portuguese, but you can check the images of the local, attendees, speakers, etc). BTW, the link only works with Internet Explorer.

I think is the best conference I have ever atended and with people from various contries , Some of them
from :Japan , Brazil , South Africa , France, Russia , Holland, Germany and even Dominican Republic. I didn’t listed all of the contries but you can get the picture about the diversity.

Bergamo – the end

Yesterday was the final day of the Intl. Firebird Conference, in Bergamo. It was really a great time, and it is always good to meet with Firebird friends. I guess this personal contact is very important for the team, and the yearly conferences is the right place to put many of the core developers together and have lots of good conversation, beer wine and fun!

I would like to thanks P-Soft (Fabio) who organized this year conference. This is not an easy task, but everything was perfect. Thanks!

I hope to meet many of you again in the next year. Go Firebird!
