AnySQL Maestro SQL Maestro Group announces the release of AnySQL Maestro 11.7, a powerful tool to manage any database engine accessible via ODBC driver or OLE DB provider (MS Access, SQL Server, Firebird, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc).

    AnySQL Maestro comes in both Freeware and Professional editions (more information).

      New version introduces data pagination, code snippets in SQL Editor, data import from ODBC data sources, and other new features (full press release).

        Firebird Randdom Data Generator For Linux and Windows designed with brand new concept is released for download/test.

        • UPDATE OR INSERT INTO for Firebird 2.1+
        • preview of the random test data
        • use standard SQL script to generate random data
        • create/save standard SQL script when generating/inserting random data
        • save/load the SQL script/ embed user defined constants in the SQL script
        • user defined starting number for the auto-incremental filed (min. 0),
        • and can continue from the end number for next round of inserting.
        • save/load the user defined random test data variable definition file.
        • execute any standard SQL DDL script./enable/disable triggers.
        • a data grid to review the populated data of the database.
        • connect to Max. 4 database simultaneously

        Firebird Eclipse DTP Plugin Version 1.0.2 released

        This is a Bugfix version  and can be downloaded from here http://www.lawinegevaar.nl/firebird

        Fixes:

        • Loading of multi-action triggers
        • Column loading for tables containing blobs
        • Loading of constraints
        • Loading of index columns
        • Order of indices in DDL generation
        • Linebreaks in DDL stored procedures and triggers
        • DDL generation for sequences
        • Leave delegation to plugin config, don’t hardcode

        Gotcha’s:

        • Largely untested (only minor testing done under Eclipse 3.5.2 with DTP 1.7.2 and Eclipse 3.6.2 with DTP 1.8.2)

        I’m proud to announce new version of ADO.NET provider for Firebird – 2.6.5. It’s half maintenance release, half new features.

        The new features include and improvements:

        • Support for Trace API in Firebird 2.5
        • Improvements in SQL generation for Entity Framework.
        • Support for commands logging
        • Slightly faster command execution of big queries.
        • And a lot of small code improvement making it more stable…

        FBDataGuard 2.5 for Linux: binaries and User Guide were updated

        New version of FBDataGuard 2.5 for Linux is available. Update introduces enhanced support for CentOS, Suse, Debian and Debian-derived Linux distributives.
        At first run FBDataGuard automatically discovers installed Firebird and performs quick investigation of the system and, if something wrong found, it reports about the problem.
        Changes are reflected in the new version of FBDataGuard User Guide (PDF is available).
        Full (commercial) version of FBDataGuard includes Control Center – Windows GUI tool with advanced monitoring and recovery capabilities.
