Here are the instructions on running Firebird 2.5.x on CentOS with Epel

You  can use the following docker image based on Debian Jessie

PHP 5.6.30, 7.0.15 and 7.1.1 are released

Firebird C++ NodeJS module node-firebird-libfbclient updated with Firebird events fixes and VS2015 builds cleanup.

PHP 7.0.15 RC1 was just released and can be downloaded from:

https://downloads.php.net/~ab/

The Windows binaries are available at

http://windows.php.net/qa/

This release contains a number of bugfixes.
For the list of bugfixes that you can target in your testing, please refer
to the NEWS file:

Please test it carefully, and report any bugs in the bug system.

The stable release is planned for January 19th, if no critical issues will
be discovered in the RC.

Dorin Marcoci Added Firebrid native type mapping for integers (smallint, integer, bigint) in PDO_Firebird driver

Testing is welcome! You need to compile his own branch

Dorin Marcoci commited a few more fixes in PHP master branch related to Firebird PDO driver  :

Cursor is not opened on singleton selects. See the related PR #2241 .

PDO test compatibility with Firebird & Oracle select syntax. See the related PR #2244

Fix for PDO_Firebird bug #65689. PDO_Firebrid / exec() does not free allocated statement.

This leaves just a few bugs open for PDO_Firebird (some are feature requests).

Firebird 3.0.1 is packaged in Debian testing and in unstable

For Ubuntu we recommend Firebird 3.0 ppa where package is imported directly from Debian repository

Ubuntu Supported Versions  : Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety) , 16.04 (Xenial)  and 14.04 (Trusty)
