At last in Brazil, the relationship between Borland and Firebird community is getting better. For the second year, Borland is sponsoring the Firebird Developers Day conference. You can check the nice promotion banner they included in their June newsletter clicking here.
I hope things will get even better when “DevCo” starts running.
KInterbasDB is a Python extension package that implements Python Database API 2.0-compliant support for the open source relational database Firebird and some versions of its proprietary cousin Borland Interbase. In addition to the minimal feature set of the standard Python DB API, InterbasDB also exposes nearly the entire native client API of the database engine.

Jiri Cincura: Will handle the nigthly build process for the .NET
Provider, DDEX, …
Le Roy Arnaud: Will be the mantainer of the ASP.NET Web Providers.
Weekly builds of FB ADO.NET Provider (only) are available on http://netprovider.cincura.net/ .
C# compiler from MS .NET FW 2.0 is used, builds using Mono, etc. will come too.
